For some TIKI users the most important news is a simple bug fix.

Some users have claimed that TIKI does not always load the next chart correctly. In fact, some times the program scales out to the World Chart in stead of loading the next chart. This happens only on some charts, so I believed that there was something wrong with these charts. But now I have to apologize, I have finally found a bug in TIKI that may create this behaviour. This bug is now fixed.

Fast AIS Information Recovery.

AIS transponders send different messages at different intervals. Static data like vessel name, length etc. may be sent only every 6 minuts, so even if you get the vessels MMSI number and speed and course quickly, you may have to wait up to 6 minutes to get the name and other static vessel data.
Now with Fast AIS Information Recovery
(FAIR for short) TIKI will keep information about the vessel so that when the target is re-aquired, the data will be attached to that target instantly..

As always there are several minor improvements in the latest version.

Changes from 6.1 to 6.1.1 are mainly graphic modifications for Mini-PCs/NetBooks with a screen resolution of 1024x600 and 1024x576 pixels.
